Ghostwire Tokyois an action-adventure game that centers around traveling through Tokyo, fighting off traditional Japanese monsters (otherwise known asyokai). Due to the interesting concept behind the game and the ability to use all sorts of elemental abilities to fight them off, many people have been flocking to the game in droves.

Of course, because the game is relatively new and has all sorts of interesting ideas to offer, there are some people who are just plain stuck.Whether they can’t get through a particular boss, or don’t even know where to begin, some beginner tips should prove useful.
7Remember To Keep Dog Food
Dog food seems like one of those items that are useless to buy at first, but it’s actually going to be quite helpful to feed a dog. Occasionally, the player will come across a dogon their journey.
Feeding and petting a dog will benefit the player. These dogs, once fed, will lead a player to useful items for the journey (such as money or healing items). There is no downside to feeding and petting dogs, as they can help a player to find more items thatcouldsave them in a hard fight.
6Learn To Block Attacks Effectively
A large part ofGhostwire Tokyois the combat. Unfortunately, it’s going to be difficult for a newer player to be able to fight off or dodge all of the attacks that enemies throw at them.

It’s just a good idea, in general, to learn how to outright block attacks that are hurled in the player’s direction. Whether these attacks are a ranged attackor a jab from a quick-footed enemy, it’s a good idea to learn how to block. On top of this, being able to master the Perfect Block will counter enemy attacks and protect the player.
5Watch For Tengus
Tengus are essentially birds that can be found in Chapter 2 and beyond. They will usually be found on top of buildings with particularly high roofs; these will alert a player to rooftops that they can climb up onto.
The game will guide the player on how to climb rooftops with tengus on them the first time they encounter one. These “hooking points,” so to speak, are a good way to find moneyand all sorts of other things. At times, there are even spirits that are necessary for side missions on the rooftops.
4Go For Every Phone Booth
Occasionally, a player will find phone booths scattered throughout the map, as they wander around and use their Katashiro to collect any drifting souls. These phone booths are a great way for a player to drain out their Katashiro to collect more souls.
RELATED:Ghostwire: Tokyo - After the End Side Mission Guide
All a player has to do is enter the phone booths to empty their Katashiro. It’s agood idea to empty it in the first place, as a player does not want to be caught in a fight with full Katashiro; emptying it out in a phone booth is quick and painless.
3Refill Ether And Arrows
Ether and arrows are the player’s two ways to use long-ranged attacks. As such, it ishighlyrecommended to keep both arrows and Ether topped up, toensure that they will always be availablewhenever they’re needed. Crystallized Ether respawns around the area, and a player can break them to restore their Ether.
During those times when a player is out of Ether or isn’t able to use it, the arrows will be the player’s only source of ammo. As such, it’s wise to stock up on Ether and arrows before it is necessary to use them in battle.
2Complete Side Missions
Although itispossible to simply go through the main objective ofGhostwire Tokyowithout also completing the side missions even once, it is still recommended to do as many side missions as possible. These missions will always have some extra rewards for a player to collect.
Clearing side missions inGhostwire Tokyowill also grant the player some extra levels for their character, which will be particularly usefulwhen fighting any difficult enemies (such as bosses). Although these missions are optional objectives, the rewards they give make these missions worthwhile to complete.
1Active Spectral Vision Regularly
Spectral Vision is going to be one of the most useful tools for a player to use inGhostwire Tokyo. As the map is large, and it’s easy to get lost if a player isn’t paying attention, it’s a good idea to get used to activating Spectral Vision and understanding how it works.
Essentially, once activated, Spectral Vision will alert the player to the locations of enemies (even when they aren’t in view yet). On top of this, any collectibles or any item a player can interactwith will also be shown with Spectral Vision. Even without using the map, the Spectral Vision will be very useful for a player.
Ghostwire Tokyois available on PlayStation 5 and Windows PC.
