Summary

Baldur’s Gate 3, in the tradition of role-playing games, has plenty of equipment to help players on their quests. Rings areone such type of equipmentand, since each character can equip up to two rings, it is worth collecting them.

Enchanted rings can provide their wearers with a variety of bonuses, from skill increases to spells.Baldur’s Gate 3is split into three acts, and for those who are still in the game’s opening act, there are still plenty of rings to find and equip.

Updated July 20, 2025, by Kristy Ambrose:Since every character in the party can equip two rings, it’s always best to rock some jewelry to create the most overpowered combination of gear possible in Baldur’s Gate 3. The following rings are powerful pieces of equipment, giving lower-level characters a much-needed edge, and each can be obtained in Act One. Whether it’s on the new Honour Mode, or a standard playthrough, players won’t want to miss the best act one rings in Baldur’s Gate 3.

15Ring Of Jumping

Purchased Or Stolen From Derryth Bonecloak In The Underdark’s Myconid Colony

This ring is primarily a utility ring, allowing for easier traversal by its wearer. This is because it allows the wearer to cast the level one transmutation spell, Enhance Leap. Both the spell and the ring do exactly what their names suggest, tripling a creature’s jump distance.

While it may not be as immediately beneficial as the other rings on this list, having a huge jump distance can make some exploration puzzles a breeze. It also helps that it’s very easy to acquire, simply by being purchased or stolen from Derryth Bonecloak in the Underdark’s Myconid Colony.

14The Explorer’s Ring

Found On A Skeleton Above The Bibberbang Grotto

It’s a tough item to get, but it’s worth it for those players who think a boost to a couple of key skills is worth the effort. Druids, Clerics, Rangers, and other certain classes tend to have these skills through their Backgrounds, and it’s helpful to have a boost to help in any dice roll.

The ring is on a skeleton above the Bibberbang Grotto, one of the ledges near the bridge made of tree roots. A character with a Strength of 14 or higher can jump to the ledge without a spell or ability boost, but in case a buff is needed Lae’zel has an enhanced Jump spell as a racial ability and Karlach is strong enough to actually throw other players to the location.

13Spurred Band

Whispering Depths, Beneath The Well Entrance

TheSpurred Bandcan be found on the skeleton next to the Apprentice’s Backpackin the Whispering Depths. Its effect can be useful for getting out of a tight scrape, as it will grant a turn of momentum when the wearer starts their turn with 50% of their hit points or less.

Momentum is one of those effects inBaldur’s Gate 3that can be a little unclear at first, but it simply increases a character’s movement speed by 1.5m or 5ft. Since this ring is easy to find, it is well worth going out of the way to grab it, although players may need to tangle with a pair of ettercaps and phase spiders to claim it for their own.

12Crusher’s Ring

Loot It From Crusher In The Goblin Camp

This ring, belonging to the arrogant goblin, Crusher, is just a souped-up version of theSpurred Band. While the Spurred Band will only increase a character’s movement speed when at or below half health, Crusher’s Ring increases the wearer’s movement speed by a whole 3m or 10ft as long as it’s equipped.

If players are planning to slaughter the goblin camp, then it will be easy enough to loot the ring off Crusher’s body. However, more subtle players can go along with Crusher’s demand to kiss his foot and sneakily slip the ring off his toe. Of course, players will have to kiss a goblin’s foot, so perhaps combat is preferable.

11Ring Of Colour Spray

In A Harpy Nest Next To The Druid Grove

This ring can be found relatively early in the game and it is useful enough to make it worth going out of the way to get. In the Druid Grove, players can make their way to the Secluded Cove, where a tiefling boy called Mirkon is being lured by harpies.

After defeating the harpies, players can make their way down the cove and climb up to the harpy’s nest. This is where players will find theRing Of Colour Spray. It allows its wearer to cast the level-one illusion spell, Colour Spray, which can be very useful in combat.

10The Sparkswall

Found Using Another Ring In The Arcane Tower

Found in the Arcane Tower within the Underdark, this ring has some lovely lore attached to its existence. While wearingThe Sparkswall, characters have resistance to lightning damage and cannot be electrocuted. It’s a helpful ring to have and was crafted by Lenore, the cleric who lived in the Arcane Tower, and Yrre, a gnome inventor.

To obtain The Sparkswall, players need another ringfound in the Arcane Tower. By defeating or befriending Bernard at the very top of the tower, players can get theGuiding Lightring. While this ring doesn’t make it onto the list itself, since it grants players the fairly common Light cantrip, players must wear it on the lift to reveal the button to the Arcane Tower basement. This is where players will find The Sparkswall.

9Fetish Of Callarduran Smoothhands

This oddly named ring can be found on the body of a gnome in Grymforge. A pair of Duergar are kicking the bodies into the lake but will let players check the bodies for loot. Players must succeed on a sleight of hand check to pocket this ring for themselves, however, as the Duergar will attempt to charge them for it if they notice.

It is worth looting, though, as this ring allows the wearer to cast Invisibility, apowerful level-two Illusion spell. This is a very handy spell and the ring is of a Rare quality.

8Ring Of Mind-Shielding

Gives Advantage On Saving Throws To Avoid Being Charmed

Another rare ring, obtaining this ring requires completing the ‘Help Omeluum Investigate The Parasite’ quest. This involves a visit to the Arcane Tower, where players can also pick up The Sparkswall andGuiding Lightrings, to collect Tongue Of Madness and Timmask Spore fungi.

Return these to Omeluumto complete the quest, and he will mention this ring to the players, although he is loath to hand it over for free. He offers the ring as protection against the Absolute’s influence since the ring offers its wearer Advantage on saving throws to avoid being Charmed.

7Bracing Band

Awarded By Thrinn For Returning Her Boots

TheBracing Bandis a particularly fun ring for Barbarians and other strength-based characters, and it is also obtained within the Underdark. During their time wandering among the fungi of the Underdark, players may stumble across a quest to return Sergeant Thrinn’s boots. Should they choose to hand the boots back to Sergeant Thrinn, she will reward them with the Bracing Band.

The Bracing Band gives its wearer a +1 bonus to their armor class after shoving an enemy. Since shoving can be used quite frequently inBaldur’s Gate 3, be it to shove enemies off ledges, clear some space, or just because players have a bonus action to spare, players may find that this ring frequently assists with their defense.

6Ring Of Flinging

Purchased From Arron In The Druid Grove

As with the Bracing Band, barbarians, particularly those ofthe Berserker subclass, are likely to enjoy theRing of Flinging. As its name may suggest, this ring gives its wearer a 1d4 bonus to throw damage. Be it throwing enemies off cliffs, throwing random objects at them, or even throwing them at each other, the hilarious attacks are suddenly even more effective.

To add to the simple beauty of the Ring Of Flinging it is really easy to obtain. Players can purchase it or steal it by interacting with the trader, Arron, in the Druid Camp. It isn’t wildly expensive, either, so players should be able to get it quite early into the game.
