There are a total of seven t-shirts in the UniqloAttack on Titancollection, all available in a unisex cut so that anyone can wear them. The designs are all taken from the manga, featuring some of the main characters like Levi and Eren. A few also have titans, and one is the name of the anime with a few letters replaced by characters or other designs from the story. Interestingly, several of the shirts feature Englishphrases from the anime, like “If you don’t fight, we can’t win” and “This is a…cruel world. And yet…so beautiful.”
The shirts are all in neutral colors, including white, gray, and black, and each one costs ¥1,500 (about $ 12 USD) in Japan. Most of the designs are small and rather minimalist, sofashion-conscious otakucan still show everyone their favorite anime without it being in anyone’s face. But for otaku who want everyone to immediately know exactly what they like, there are a couple of bold designs, too. Any shirts that are pre-ordered online will also be shipped in a special box that features panels from the manga.
Uniqlo is one of Japan’s most affordable and beloved clothing brands, offering casual clothes that are at the right price for most people to buy. The brand has expanded internationally, with stores across Asia and even in America, Australia, the UK and beyond. These international stores often have a lot of the same stock as the Japanese stores, which makes Uniqlo a great place for people to buy casual Japanese fashion.
What is even better for otaku is that Uniqlo often does collaborations with Japanese games, movies, and of course, anime. The timing is usually impeccable as well, using whatever is most popular for their collaborations. In the past, Uniqlo has offered shirts based onDemon Slayer,One Piece,Final Fantasy,Pokémon, and more. This will be the first time the brand has hadAttack on Titanclothing.
These otaku collaborations are usually really popular, especially as they are priced much cheaper than anime and gaming shirts are from other brands and shops. This spring, Japan will be peppered with people sporting the new UniqloAttack on Titanshirts, and hopefully, they will make their way to the international Uniqlo stores wellbefore the final seasonends as well!
