Activision Blizzard recently releasedDiablo 2: Resurrected, bringing a game from the year 2000 to modern consoles. One of the artists who worked with the company on the remaster recently shared their Amazon and Sorceress character models.
Artist Hossein Diba recently shared their character models forDiablo 2: Resurrected’s Amazon and Sorceress. The artist also included images of the originalDiablo 2Amazon and Sorceress for comparison. Although both character models are notably improved from the original’s while providing their own new look, Diba pointed out that another artist worked on Amazon’s outfit.

Hossein Diba stated that theDiablo 2Sorceress is one of his favorite figures. The color scheme for the Sorceress has changed to a more vibrant green, while the outfit itself is rather similar to the original. Diba’s Sorceress has a skirt with a notably detailed belt that tightens the clothing where it attaches at the navel.
Just like the Sorceress, Hossein Diba’s Amazon shares many similarities with the originalDiablo 2character model. The color scheme is nearly identical to both the original character model and the Amazon thatActivision Blizzardwent with inDiablo 2: Resurrected. The female hero is also clad in bronze and leather armor from head to toe. Diba’s Amazon has a detailed headband that contributes to keeping the character’s hair up.
Fans of the originalDiablo 2were notably concerned about theAmazon’s character model inDiablo 2: Resurrected, but looking at Hossein Diba’s version of the hero gives them an idea of how she may have otherwise looked. Similar to the final version ofDiablo 2 Resurrected’s Amazon character model, Diba’s Amazon is mostly desexualized compared to the original model. Considering she’s an Amazon warrior, Diba’s Amazon is also appropriately chiseled.
The details in Hossein Diba’sDiablo 2: Resurrectedcharactermodels are more noticeable in the close-up screenshots of the heroes. The stern look of his Amazon hints at her battle readiness, the Sorceress' inquisitive look fits the characters' undying need for intellect. There are intricate details in the Amazon’s leather armor, while the Sorceress' staff looks like it was broken right off a tree.
While the final version of the Amazon andSorceress inDiablo 2: Resurrectedare both good, Diba’s version of the characters would also fit right in. Several Twitter users happily praised Hossein Diba’s work on the Sorceress, potentially inspiring the artist to share more of hisDiablo 2: Resurrectedwork. It’s currently unclear if Activision Blizzard included other Diba character models in the finished version ofDiablo 2: Resurrected.
Diablo 2: Resurrectedis available right now for Mac, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
