Cheating has been a persisting issue in Respawn’s free-to-play battle royale titleApex Legends. More and more players are reporting cheating in ranked lobbies, and much of the cheating being done is boosting other players or farming kills. Unfortunately, these instances of cheating seem to be happening more recently, despiteRespawn taking action to combat the cheating. Now, one diamond-rankedApex Legendsplayer has shared their experience dealing with cheating, hoping that Respawn will issue some bans to the cheaters.

Reddit user “MohSSEEZZ” shares a clip of their rankedApex Legendsmatch in which their teammates stood by as another team racked up kills on “MohSSEEZZ.” The player is killed and respawned three times before choosing to leave the ranked match. While the cheaters were earning Kill Points, “MohSSEEZZ” was handed an abandonment penalty for the situation.Apex Legendssecurity analyst Conor Ford was tagged in the post, so hopefully some action is taken to reprimand the cheaters and prevent farming from happening.

Farming is one of many ways cheating is being done inApex Legends. One player, in particular, has beenterrorizingApex Legendslobbieswith various cheats including aimbots, wall hacking, and DDoS attacks. Tufi is anApex Legendscheater who has seemingly gotten around multiple bans to continue to ruin the game for the top players in the world.

The cheater also took indirect credit for launching a DDoS attack on theApex LegendsGLL Masters tournament. Right before the attack, Tufi messagedpopularApex Legendsstreamer Shivin-game to mock the tournament, seemingly revealing he was the one messing with the servers. While people like Tufi may be ruining the game with their antics, it is up to Respawn to take them on.

Respawn has recently launched a ban wave and promises to take action against cheating. Respawn has even stated that it may takelegal action against cheatersand people launching DDoS attacks. As the game approaches Season 9, the developer will have to ensure that players can enjoy the game without being farmed for kills or kicked from games because of cheaters.

If cheating is effectively cut down by Respawn, Season 9 could be one of the most exciting yet. Season 9 will introducenew legend Valkyrie, as well as the new game mode Arena, a new Bocek Bow weapon, and much more.
