Apex Legendshas been at the forefront of the battle royale genre when it comes to many features. Many other games have ripped offApex Legends' ping system, the ability to revive teammates, and more. But there is one important feature that has existed in the genre since well beforeApex Legendsthat fans have been clamoring for, and they finally may be getting their wish.
Apex Legendsfans have long wanted a reconnect feature for if and when they get disconnected mid-game from their teammates. It is very frustrating to be in the middle of a nice run with friends, only to lose progress and not be able to jump right back in. Last yearRespawn Entertainment decided not to work on a reconnect feature, and instead work on stability. Fans wondered why they couldn’t work on both, but that’s neither here nor there.

TheApex Legendsdeveloper has been responding to backlash a lot lately, asRespawn made big map rotation changesafter some fans complained about the initial changes. Respawn has finally responded to the backlash in regards to disconnecting, as fans have been frustrated for over a year about not being able to reconnect. Josh Medina, a producer at Respawn, responded to a tweet letting a fan know that the feature should be arriving very soon.
“Real soon” was the exact response Josh gave to the fan on Twitter who asked politely for the reconnect feature. This is great news for fans ofApex Legendswho are also anxiously awaitingSeason 5, which may come withTitanfall 2content.It is entirely possible that the reconnect update will come with Season 5, as new seasons usually have fresh content, but also overhauls to gameplay and systems.
Apex Legendshas continually been updated since day one with added guns, Legends, weapons, maps and more. The community has mostly been pleased, includingmany events forApex Legendsthat were great and a few that were disappointing. It’s wonderful to know that Respawn has not only been supporting the game with content like new Legends and exciting events, but also with features and game supporting updates that help improve the overall experience for the players.
