As a hero-based battle royale,Apex Legendshas Legends that give players the opportunity to have an offensive, defensive, or supportive role in every match. Technically speaking, each Legend in theRespawnbattle royale offers unique Tactical Skills that define their unique role throughout the squad. Of course, using these Tacticals efficiently can secure the advantage for the team. However, a Legend’s Ultimate Skills can also eliminate entire squads quickly if used properly.

As the name implies, Ultimate Skills need time to recharge but almost always triggers an awesome effect. These come in the form of deadly ordinances, quick mobility perks, or other utility skills that can define a difference in the match. However, justwhichApex LegendsUltimates serve as the game’s deadliest?
Updated on July 01, 2025, by Rhenn Taguiam:With Bangalore’s brother Jackson arriving in Apex Legends as Defensive Legend Newcastle, fans of the acclaimed hero shooter battle royale can finally have another go-to defender in their squads to fight the fiercest of battles. With Newcastle’s deployable shields, players can have more intense firefights. However, before players include Newcastle’s abilities as part of the best - especially his portable shield Ultimate, some Legends will definitely stand out due to their rather ridiculous Ultimate abilities. Justwhich Legends have the best slate of Ultimate skills?
15Beast Of The Hunt (Bloodhound)
It’s one thing to track an opponent - but it’s another nightmare to be stalked by a predator. This is exactly what Bloodhound’sBeast of the Huntdoes - it transforms Bloodhound into a killing machine by turning his vision into black and white, with red highlighting enemies, footsteps, explosions, and enemy abilities.

In terms of stats, the Beast mode lasts 35 seconds, with each knockdown increasing that duration from 5-to-15 seconds. With this state, Eye of the Allfather (Tactical) gets an 8-second CD, enabling Bloodhound to bestow his sights to allies much faster.
While the Beast of the Hunt doesn’t cause any damage, it does give a hunting edge to an aggressive player. Thanks to the Beast’s enhanced tracking and Bloodhound’s Tracker (Passive), an offensive player can have an easier time chasing enemies or even blazing through a firefight. With a Supply Drop weaponlike the Prowler (SMG) or the Peacekeeper (Shotgun), Bloodhound easily becomes an Apex Predator.
14Dimensional Rift (Wraith)
Players love Wraith in particular for her ability to phase out, courtesy of Into The Void (Tactical), which allows her to disappear and quickly warp into another location on the map, allowing her to not only avoid damage but quickly reposition in order to fight back opponents. However, she can give her allies multiple repositioning opportunities when she uses her Ultimate,Dimensional Rift- especially in confusingmaps like Olympus.
With this Ultimate, Wraith opens a rift through time and can open a gateway to any direction for roughly 75 meters. Players can use this rift for a wide variety of purposes, such as repositioning to avoid damage in combat, zooming in to rush against opponents, or even escaping heat waves so they can spare themselves an embarrassing elimination.
Wraith can fully tap into her slate of abilities with Dimensional Rift, especially when her Passive, Voices From The Void, can give her cues whether she’s being aimed at, if there are traps nearby, or if enemies are also nearby. Whether she’s using Dimensional Rift for scouting or direct offense, Wraith and her warping abilities can be the epitome of flexibility when used properly.
Players who just want a good time while playing the game will definitely choose Octane, particularly for his brand of crazy speed and wild approach to combat. There’san element of risk-rewardhere, considering his Swift Mend (Passive) allows him to restore his health over time provided he avoids damage for at least six seconds. However, what really makes Octane super crazy is his Ultimate,Launch Pad, which opens a lot of possibilities with the game’s verticality.
Compared to the likes of Ash, Valkyrie, and Horizon who often use their vertical options for solo mid-air incursions, Octane’s Launch Pad allows him to summon a jump pad that catapults anyone into the air with the option to double jump. While players can’t double jump while using items, the mid-air time Launch Pad offers gives players great air control that can benefit them in aerial combat to surprise other Legends.
This works well with Octane’s Stim (Tactical), which already gives him a speed boost at the cost of 20 Health. If he loads his Stim before using a Launch Pad, this further boosts his aerial time.
12Phase Breach (Ash)
Players on theprowl for a good killwould love to use Ash, particularly for her penchant for hunting other players. Her Marked For Death (Passive) alone allows more aggressive players to chase down parties who just recently killed other players, guaranteeing the probability of unexpected third parties. However, what makes Ash especially deadly is the proper use of her Ultimate,Phase Breach.
Straightforwardly enough, Phase Breach simply tears a one-way gate to a particular location that lets Ash travel there. The maximum range of the teleport is 62.5 meters, allowing Ash and her comrades to enter the portal as it lasts for up to 15 seconds. This allows Ash to either chase enemies or even escape unsuspecting attacks.
Phase Breach also works well with her Tactical, Arc Snare, as this lets Ash either disable the position of her Phase Breach of the warp’s destination - stopping enemies on their tracks if ever they plan on chasing her and her team.
11Life Of The Party (Mirage)
When used properly,Mirage can easily become one of the most annoying Legendsplayers can face due to his ability to clone himself, courtesy of Psyche Out (Tactical). Considering how his Psyche Out can mimic his abilities, Mirage can easily fool enemies into shooting him and revealing their position. This is all the more with Mirage’s Ultimate,Life of the Party.
When used, not only does Mirage release five clones of himself at the same time. Aside from the fact that they move in circles for a while to confuse enemies, they actually mimic Mirage’s movements, adding a second layer of confusion especially when Mirage decides to use his decoys for a second time.
Aside from confusing enemies on a defensive level, Mirage can use his Ultimate to signal a strike or even use this as a distraction so Mirage and his team could escape.
10Exhibit (Seer)
Seer easily became a scary enemy to face during his introduction in the game, particularly due tohis offensive nature as a Recon Legend. This is in particular emphasized by his Ultimate,Exhibit, which essentially allows him to summon a micro-drone sphere that detects all enemies within a 65-meter sphere. This lasts for 30 seconds or until the sphere itself is destroyed, which gives the enemy an unnecessary objective to dismantle while Seer and his companions eliminate them.
This works quite well with Seer’s Tactical, Focus of Attention, which detects enemies in the front of Seer in a cylindrical manner. Not only that, proper usage of this Tactical can help Seer disable enemies who are using Abilities and Healing for a short while, allowing his Exhibit to pinpoint directly where enemies are staying.
Worst, Seer can also use Heart Seeker (Passive) while on the hunt for opponents, which essentially transforms his ADS into a miniature heat scan that lets him detect enemies within 75 meters of him. When used together, Seer’s abilities give his Exhibit three times as many deadly components when it comes to detecting enemies.
9Black Market Boutique (Loba)
Just because Loba’sBlack Market Boutiquedoesn’t do any damage doesn’t mean it’s any less deadly. True to her theme, the Black Market lets Loba and her allies steal nearby items without having to get near them.
Technically speaking, the Black Market gives its users (even opponents!) access to all items within a 112.5-meter radius. Users can get any two pieces of gear plus all the ammunition until their carrying capacity.
Interestingly, Loba’s ability becomes deadly with its execution. Using this inside high-tier loot areas will get Loba’s crew fully kittedwith specialist gearin seconds. Moreover, proccing the Black Market near Explosive Holds, Supply Pods, and even Care Packages can steal powerful gear even before enemies get to them. As a plus, Loba starts the match with her Ultimate with a 50-percent charge!
8Black Hole (Horizon)
It’s not enough that Horizon can soar the skies with Gravity Lift (Tactical) - herBlack Holecan pull players away from firefights, too! Its name immediately declares its effects - N.E.W.T. generates a small black hole that pulls nearby players towards it.
In the game, Horizon activates Black Hole by deploying N.E.W.T. to a nearby area in the span of a few seconds. Stats-wise, the black hole lasts for 12 seconds, and the drone has 175 HP - making it prone to destruction. Aside from highlighting enemies behind the drone, the black hole also pulls enemies from behind doors and walls!
However, Black Hole also shines in terms of its interactions. For instance, anyone facing a Caustic could procc a Black Hole to redirect its trajectory - potentially making a toxic area safe. It can also enhance the effects of area-specific skills by dragging them towards the AOE of Grenades, Nox Gas Grenade (Caustic), Silence (Revenant), or even the Motherlode (Fuse). Sadly, Black Hole doesn’t deal damage and can be disabled by Drone EMP (Crypto) and Interception Pylon (Wattson).
7Death Totem (Revenant)
Sometimes, it’s longevity - not damage output - that makes a Legend just as deadly as the champions that come before them. And with Revenant’sDeath Totem, hissquad immediately gets the upper handby toying with life itself. When activated, Revenant and his teammates can transform into shadows for up to 30 seconds each. This essentially acts as a second life.
In terms of stats, a user’s shadow mode has 100 Health, disables Shields, and can’t use healing. While this form is inherently weak, a squad can use this to flush enemies out, force them to waste bullets, or even reduce the risk of using a Respawn Beacon in open battle.

The only caveat of Death Totem is that users who “die” in shadow form will get back to the Totem with 30 Health. It doesn’t help that “returning” to the Totem releases a red wisp that enemies can use to track the Totem’s location.
6The Motherlode (Fuse)
There’s no one deadlier with a grenade than Fuse, and his penchant for explosives becomes apparent withThe Motherlode. With this Ultimate, Fuse launches a bombardment that explodes in mid-air. Afterward, its shrapnel spreads to the edge of his assigned area, encircling it in flames for 17 seconds. Aesthetically speaking, the Motherlode creates a flaming ring in the center of an area -perfect for trapping enemies.
Stats-wise, just touching the fire causes 35 damage and lights up the target in flames. While burning, the target gets 8 damage per second across five seconds - and the touching/burning effect repeats once the target ends up aflame while the Motherlode is intact. Interestingly, its innate appeal lies in its usability - Fuse can fire the Motherlode from 200 meters away and it comes with up to 3x-zoom ADS. This makes the Motherlode perfect to ruin an ongoing fight or even trap recovering enemies.
Unfortunately, the Motherlode loses its appeal due to its sheer technical nature. Players need to remember that the Motherlode encircles its AOE’s edge in flames, not the area inside it - which is new for deployable Ultimates.
