Time and time again, players ofAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsprove just how flexible the life simulation title can be. Not only can players customize the infrastructure of their island or bring in theirfavoriteAnimal Crossingvillagers, they also have a ton of options to personalize the look and feel of their island paradise. Recently, anAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsplayer showed off a cute bunny enclosure that they set up in the game, attracting the attention of their fellow fans.
ACNHwill be turning two this 2022, and so far Nintendo does not seem to have any big plans for the game’s 2nd anniversary. Released last March 2020, theAnimal Crossing: New Horizonswas very well-received by the community. Knowing just how loved the series is, Nintendo did not disappoint the fans, and, since launch, continued to provide continuous updates and events to keep the player base engaged. However, the free 2.0 update and thepaid Happy Home Paradise DLCreleased last November 2021 were announced to be the last major updates for the title.

ThoughAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsmay not have any big content patches in the future, fans still seem to be very invested in the title. Reddit user gondolingirl showcases this through their creation of a cute bunny enclosure. Using several of theitems found in the freeACNH2.0 update, the Redditor fenced in several Bunny Garden Decorations to make it look like an actual rabbit hutch. They even put in a small cage and several carrots to make it look like the real deal.
On the Reddit thread, fellow players complimented gondolingirl’s cute creation, and even left them with some suggestions and pointers. One recommended adding a Hay Bed in the enclosure, joking that the rabbits should have a well-balanced diet. Another joked that the rabbitvillagers inAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsmay see this cute set-up as a threat to their existence, while another player commented that they had a similar “pet shop” set-up on their own island. This indicates that players may be looking to have actual pets incorporated in theAnimal Crossingseries someday. Nevertheless, most of the community agreed that the enclosure is a cute addition to any player’s island.
As March 2022 approaches, Nintendo still has not given any updates about the 2nd anniversary ofAnimal Crossing: New Horizons. Whether the company decides to forgo the celebrations altogether, or announce something spectacular, fans are likely hopeful that there will be at least something in-game to mark the occasion.
