Releasing alongside the first Infamous title,Infamous: Precinct Assaultwas a flash game that could be first played on the original Infamous website. It was completely free and allowed players to control Cole MacGrath as they attempted to beat their high score in this 2D sidescroller. However, it wasn’t all jumping and running inInfamous: Precinct Assaultas players could also use the delivery biker’s powers to defeat the foes ahead of them.

While this may not be a whole game it was greatly successful in attracting players to try the actual Infamous title on the PlayStation 3.Infamous: Precinct Assaultmay not be an awful littlemini-game for players to enjoy, but it is still the least loved out of those available; especially as some players don’t even remember it.

Not every game in the Infamous series is canon to its events.Infamous: Festival of Blood, is a spin-off spoof of the series where the friend of Cole called Zeke Dunbar tells the story of Cole becoming a vampire. Obviously, this isn’t what happened to Cole, but it still made an interesting adventure for players to be a part of. Another thing that was different from the other games in the series, was that players no longer had the good or evil choice to alter their Karma.

This was to helpthe linear storytellingof Cole becoming more of a vampire as he was forced to feed on innocent civilians to survive. Although it wasn’t connected to the actual Infamous storyline players still enjoyed their time with this new Cole MacGrath and his new powers to boot.

Infamous Second Son Story

Infamous: Second Sonwas Sucker Punch Production’s first Infamous game to be put onto thenew Sony hardwareof the time the PlayStation 4. With an all-new kit to play with, Sucker Punch also wanted to introduce the Infamous series to a new generation through the new protagonist Delsin Rowe.

The Karma system continued inInfamous: Second Son, but by 2014 players felt that the choice between good and evil was too binary and repetitive. Players wished for a more nuanced title that saw their actions mean more than simply two different endings; this doesn’t mean that the game was bad as players still enjoyed all the new combat and abilities that came with Delsin.

Infamous 2was a brilliant follow-up to the original title, players continued to control their favorite protagonist Cole as he finally gets to face his nemesis known as the Beast. Players are once again met by the Karma system that allows them to either be selfless or selfish as they find a way to get close to the Beast to finally put an end to it.

Introduced to a new city, many players felt that New Marais was amuch livelier citythan Empire City, with plenty more to explore and do. While the ending of Infamous felt like a fitting conclusion to the title for some, many were still thrilled to seeInfamous: Second Sonbe released on PlayStation 4, or the entertaining gothic tale ofInfamous: Festival of Blood.

This is the title that hooked many into playing the action-adventure title and it continued to be successful for many years later. As mentioned, in this game players are introduced to the main protagonist Cole MacGrath, and how he obtained his powers.

Players are then left to experience his story of coming to terms with how he can harness electricity and what he will do with it.
