This PlayStation series tends to feature games that are relatively short compared to other platformers. There are reasons to replayRatchet & Clanktitles, such as the Challenge Mode which serves as this franchise’s version of New Game+. Even with that in mind, most games can be completed within a weekend, depending on the difficulty.

The nice thing aboutRatchet and Clank: Rift Apartis that every side quest or trinket side job is seemingly built with love. There is no filler in this game. Completing these missions or finding secrets is more satisfying than many other games of its kind. They are also rewarding, so it’s best not to skip out on any of them.
9Finding The Golden Bolts
There are 25Golden Bolts hiddeninRatchet and Clank: Rift Apart. Golden Bolts have been a big featurein the seriessince the very beginning, although what they unlock varies between games. InRift Apart, Golden Bolts can unlock skins for weapons, for instance.
Other examples include a big head mode, the ability to turn on infinite health and ammo, and an ability to mirror the game. One of the best features involves adding RPG numbers to combat.
8Finding The Spybots
There areten Spybots hiddeninRatchet and Clank: Rift Apart. This quest is started by Ms. Zurkon who promises Ratchet a big reward if he finds all of her little minions. She wasn’t kidding as getting all ten will unlock the RYNO 8.
The RYNO line of missile launchers has existed since the first entry in the series. Like the Golden Bolts, the gun’s powers vary between games, however, this version is very devastating in combat.
7Zurkie’s Arena
Every game in the serieshas had an arenato test Ratchet’s might in. There was even a game that was all about the arena,Ratchet: Deadlocked.
ForRift Apart, it’s actually Rivet who does the fighting. There are three cups, each with varying matches to play around in. Fighting in these challenges acts as a great means to earn bolts and extra goodies such as armor. It’s also a good way to level up Rivet along with her shared arsenal of weapons.
6Hidden Rifts
Hidden in each planet are rifts similar to the story puzzles Clank has to go through, although they operate differently. The rewards vary from realm to realm but most of them include armor.

Hitting L1 will open these rifts up just like the orange portals. Jump inside to face some unique platforming challenges such as bouncing between balloons or navigating through a maze of invisible platforms.
5Corson V’s Factory
This is the first side mission that unlocks the Spybot quest. The first robot is located inside an old factory, and getting to them involves a lot of killing of enemy robots without much need of platforming.
Ready those guns, fight through the hordes, and claim the reward at the end. It’s a simple distraction from the main mission on Corson V, the first planet Ratchet warps into after the dimension swap.
4Help Trudi
This mission takes place on Rivet’s homeworld of Sargasso. Her engineer friends want her and Clank to help feed their pet dragonTrudi with some Zurpstones. There are over forty of them on the planet and each tier in the quest unlocks something new such as a Golden Bolt, a Spybot, armor, and the list goes on.
The best part about this quest is that it will eventually let players take to the skies with Trudi.
3Lombax Shrines
One of the biggest mysteriesin Insomniac’s seriesinvolves Ratchet’s Lombax race. Every game adds something new to their lore andRift Apartis no different.
On Savali, Ratchet and Kit can uncover twelve shrines containing orbs with classified information recorded by his brethren. It seems to hint at the next game in the series if all are collected. Plus there is also some good armor in it for Ratchet.
2Treasure Hunt
The Treasure Hunt quest can be taken on Ardolis, the pirate haven. It’s funny in that it is the opposite of what one would normally think of as a treasure quest in a pirate adventure. It doesn’t lead to treasure either. It instead leads to the Map-o-Matic, a device that then leads to treasure.

It basically marks every point of interest on every planet’s map to make finding things such as Golden Bolts easier. It is a must to one hundred percent this game.
1The Missing Chef
On Blizar Prime, the miners are getting hungry. Their head cook, Chef Tulio, went out to find some honey and has not returned yet. Players are tasked with finding her as should be obvious by the title.
Aside from a few platforming sections, most of the quest is like a mini-tower defense game. Rivet has to defend the honey from monsters trying to destroy the collector it is in. There are three waves, each ending with Chef Tulio coming up with a new meal course for her coworkers. Her eccentric personality makes this quest a memorable one.
