Summary
Three years afterOne Piece Warriors 4’s original launch, the game will be getting a second pass of DLC, adding nine characters in total. This year’s “One Piece Day” took place on July 22. This event showcased plenty of newOne Pieceannouncements, such asthe trailer for the live-actionOne PieceNetflix showand DLC for the aforementioned video game.
One Piece Warriors 4is theDynasty Warriors-esque spin-off gameof the popular anime franchise, originally released worldwide on August 03, 2025. Much like prior installments of this series, players get the chance to battle waves of enemies at once as one of their favoriteOne Piececharacters, with 43 characters at launch and nine added later. The game adapted the Wano arc, which was still ongoing at the time of its release. To compensate, the game had to create its own ending. With the Wano arc having wrapped up in 2022, it seems likeOne Piece Warriors 4is getting DLC to properly adapt what happened.

This is reflected in the latest trailer shown by Bandai Namco, where it showcases scenes from the manga taking place inOne Piece Warriors 4’s in-game engine. It then kicks off by showing Luffy in his outfit during the arc, before quickly revealing the trump card that he used during his fight against Kaido: Gear Fifth. This transformation was the result of him awakening the true power of his devil fruit, and increased his elasticity powers even further.
The full DLC lineup is known as “The Battle of Onigashima Pack” which includes the aforementioned Onigashima Battle Luffy with Gear Fifth transformation, along with two other unannounced characters. Each pack features three characters apiece. Players who purchase these new character passes will also get the Onigashima Battle costume for Trafalgar D. Water Law as well. While it’s unknown who all will be included, one of the silhouettes potentially points to Uta being added.Wano arc fan favorite Yamatowould also likely be a safe bet considering how popular he ended up being.
It is strange for any game three years removed from its release to get this kind of post-launch support after it stopped getting it at all. That being said, the Wano arc had wrapped up in the manga last year, with the anime also wrapping up its adaptation of the events soon, with theepisode featuring Gear Fifth being highly anticipated. Its possible that Bandai Namco wanted to make the game that already adapted said arc more accurate rather than release a fifth game just to correct the ending.
One Piece Warriors 4is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
